You've probably tried beer brats, but how about Maple Root Beer brats?! Made with Sprecher Maple Root Beer, this summer grilling recipe is simple and so delicious. The maple in our Maple Root Beer gives a more wintergreen flavor that complements the brats perfectly. Top this brat off with Sprecher Root Beer mustard and you have yourself a flavorful dinner.

Recipe Ingredients

2 (12 oz) bottles Sprecher Maple Root Beer

1 large onion, thinly sliced

6 bratwurst

Salt and pepper to taste

Sprecher Root Beer Mustard (optional)

Recipe Instructions

Combine Maple Root Beer and onion slices in a large pot, bring to a boil. Add bratwurst, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10-12 minutes.

Preheat outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil grate.

Remove brats to a plate, let onions simmer until needed.

Cook brats on grill turning occasionally until no longer pink in the middle. About 5-10 minutes on the grill.

Serve brat on bun topped with onions and Sprecher Root Beer mustard. Enjoy!
